Edson is an unincorporated community in Sherman County, Kansas, United States.[1] Edson is located near Interstate 70, 9 miles (14 km) east of Goodland. Edson has a post office with ZIP code 67733.[2]

History

Edson was named for settler Ed Harris, and his son.[3] The first post office in Edson was established in 1888.[4]

Edson was a station and shipping point on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad.[5]

Education

Edson is a part of USD 352 Goodland.[7]

Edson schools were closed through school unification. The Edson Rockets[8] won the Kansas State High School boys class BB Track & Field championship in 1965. [9]
