Life and career

Born Edilberta Angelillo in Venice, she is the daughter of singers and stage artists who performed with the name Franco & Regina.[1] Angelillo studied dance, mime and acting, and at 19 years old, in 1979, she made her film debut in Maurizio Nichetti's Ratataplan.[1] The same year, Angelillo debuted on television as an assistant in Rai 1 variety show Domenica in, and recorded her first single as a singer.[1] In 1984, after having been an assistant of Pippo Baudo at the Sanremo Music Festival, she focused her activities on stage.[1] In 1997 she was nominated to the David di Donatello for best supporting actress thanks to her performance in La bruttina stagionata.[2]

gollark: It mostly doesn't happen unless the existing stuff is also very bad. I suspect it's also easier for somewhat purpose-specific instant messaging than for general social network stuff because the group which has to move with you is smaller and you don't have to migrate giant friend lists or something.
gollark: Even if better services *do* exist, people generally don't move to something they don't have stuff/people they know on.
gollark: Generally it requires the existing service to be really bad before people start moving.
