Eastward (song)
"Eastward" is a song written by American singer-songwriter Billie Hughes and originally recorded by Hughes's band, Lazarus, for their 1971 self-titled debut album on Bearsville Records. Eastward was produced by Peter Yarrow and Phil Ramone.[1][2] It is an acoustic ballad with vocal harmonies.[3]

In 1974, The Lettermen covered and released "Eastward" as a single[4], reaching #16 on the Billboard US Adult Contemporary chart. It was produced by David Cavanaugh & Lettermen. Radio and Records charted activity with commentary.[5][6][7] [8] [9][10].[11][12]
