ETV2 began broadcasting on 8 August 2008, coinciding with the Olympic Games. On 25 August 2008, ETV2 continued broadcasting children's programs. Since 2 January 2009, the channel in the evening news broadcast will be "hot chamber" (19.30 - 20.00) and the publicist for the transfer of Russian-speaking audience.
