e.Republic was formed by Dennis McKenna and Don Pearson. In November 2009, the company purchased Governing Magazine from the Times Publishing Group. The acquisition of Governing and e.Republic’s connection to Scientology was featured prominently in a 2009 article by the New York Times.[1]
