History

Founded by Aamir Ahmad, Sean Galligan and Dave Garrett, Dwell began trading with a single store in Balham in 2003.[2] It grew across London, with stores in Balham, Islington, Kingston, Richmond, Tottenham Court Road and Westfield.

In 2010, the company received £5m in funding from Key Capital Partners.[3][4] The company announced plans to expand to 60 stores and 20 concessions across the UK within five years,[5][6][7] and opened a flagship store on Tottenham Court Road.[8] By the end of 2010 the company had 24 stores, including a concession in House of Fraser, and had locations across UK including Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow.[9]

In July 2013 the original founders formed a new company Coin Furniture Ltd (CFL).

In February 2014 Dwell entered into a marketing partnership with larger retailer, DFS. This led to Dwell's acquisition by DFS in August 2014.

Current

Headquartered at London Bridge and with distribution based in Milton Keynes, the company now has over 400 staff and 38 stores across the UK.

In February 2014 Dwell entered into a marketing partnership with larger retailer, DFS. This led to Dwell's acquisition by DFS in August 2014.[10]

The original founders retired in 2019 and management was taken over by CEO Peter Jenkins.

There's the obvious issue of mailing lists which you *want* to receive, but more significantly this would make me... not use email at all... since I don't have any work-y reasons to use it and can reach my friends by various other channels.
gollark: So apparently the issue is that I'm just misunderstanding Android, which has become increasingly convoluted for some reason. There are *two* `fastboot` things, each of which works slightly differently because of course.
gollark: Probably? I'm not entirely sure how Android's filesystem works because it's vaguely horrible even on correctly thingied devices.
gollark: Probably there actually is a system partition or something *there*, it's just not labelled/named properly.
gollark: If they wanted it to be hard, they could just not allow people to conveniently unlock the bootloader. Yet they do.
