History

Dunbar United was formed in 1925 and currently plays in the East of Scotland Football League (Conference A), having moved from the SJFA East Region Premier League in 2018.[1] The team play their home matches at New Countess Park, to which they moved in 2001. New Countess Park is within the Hallhill Healthy Living Centre[2] and has a shared pavilion for Dunbar United and the local rugby union team, Dunbar RFC. There is room for around 2,500 spectators at New Countess Park.

The greatest achievement of Dunbar United was winning the Scottish Junior Cup in 1961.

In May 2014 United appointed Geoff Jones, a former striker, captain and long term servant of the club as manager. Geoff began his career at neighbouring West Barns, playing alongside former United manager Dave Lees during the most successful spell in West Barns history. Jones subsequently delivered Dunbar's first league Championship since 1998 when his talented side lifted the South Division Championship Trophy after a 5-0 away win to Livingston on 6th May 2017.

gollark: And they used to make cheap flagship-y phones, but now just make... flagship-priced flagship phones.
gollark: OnePlus bad. Did you know they ship Facebook stuff as a system app now?
