Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University (ALU Jaipur) is an residential-cum-affiliating University specialized in legal studies in Indian state of Rajasthan's capital Jaipur. It was established by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur Bill, 2019, a bill passed by the Rajasthan assembly in February 2019 and notified on 26 February 2019.[1][2][3][4] In February 2020, Dr. Dev Swarup, Additional Secretary of UGC and former Vice Chancellor of University of Rajasthan has been appointed as first vice-chancellor of the University.[5] The university is named after Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Indian scholar, social reformer, and the architect of the Indian Constitution.

Historical Background

To realize Dr. Ambedkar's vision of an egalitarian and enlightened society, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University has been established on 26 February 2019. In short, the university is informed by all academic, research and external programs of ALU, including the Act and statutes. Dr. Ambedkar is credited with the overall socio-cultural transformation of education. ALU is a fairly well-spread, student-centered institution, with more than 1000 students enrolled in a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs, including many professional schools. This is no ordinary time for unwavering commitment to academics and higher education, with both opportunities available for ALU innovation, accelerating introduction, accelerating growth and setting high goals for achievements, as well as in academics. The infrastructure has been developed very well. To meet the goal of achieving academic excellence, ALU has gained immense momentum due to the extensive developments in academic activities. New initiatives have been taken in the direction of infrastructure, campus development, faculty and student empowerment, management reform, construction of sports, health and other facilities, strengthening the grievance redressal system for staff, teachers and students. Establishment of new hostels for the student, introducing innovations in academic and extra-curricular activities, outreach to all, enhancing unity and especially marginalized groups, all of which will enhance the strength of the university and further progress towards excellence in future Will prepare for the same.

Objectives

To disseminate and enhance knowledge through study, research and example and influence of our organized life. Strive for the development of the principles for which Bhimrao Ambedkar worked throughout his life. Such as the rise of Dalit society, national unity, social justice, secularism, democratic system of life, international understanding and scientific approach to social problems. Promoting education and research in all branches of law. To disseminate scientific, technical and commercial knowledge with the necessary practical knowledge which is helpful in the development and development of India's wealth.[6]
