Content

In late 2017, the singer published a music video for "Beer in the Headlights"[5] and his rendition of the Luke Bryan-Florida Georgia Line collaboration "This Is How We Roll", which he co-wrote.[6] In addition to those two songs, Down Home Sessions IV features his renditions of three other songs that he wrote for other artists: "Roller Coaster", also cut by Bryan; "Outta My Head", recorded by Craig Campbell; and "Get Me Some of That", recorded by Thomas Rhett.[7]

Critical reception

Markos Papadatos of Digital Journal stated that Swindell's 'cover of "This is How We Roll" is infectious, and it would make country duo Florida Georgia Line proud', giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars.[8] Cillea Houghton of Sounds Like Nashville stated that the musician "presents the songs in the stripped down, acoustic fashion they were created in".[9]

gollark: A blog post said so → it is true.
gollark: Why? I read blog posts saying that sscanf is insecure or something so obviously nobody is using it.
gollark: I don't know what sscanf does, so osmarkslibc™ sscanf just copies around strings a bit and shoves junk data into buffers and hopes nobody notices.
gollark: Well, [REDACTED].
gollark: They're gnus. It's quite clear.
