Notes
- Brian Jenkins was fired after the first five games of the 2017 season, during which Alabama State lost all five games including two conference games. Hill-Eley replaced Jenkins as interim head coach for the final six games of the season. The Hornets finished the season 5–6 overall and 4–3 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play.
