District 51 (New York City Council)

District 51 is an electoral district of the New York City Council. It was created in 1991, and consists of parts of the South Shore of Staten Island: Arden Heights, Annadale, Bay Terrace, Tottenville, Oakwood, Great Kills, Richmondtown, Charleston, Rossville, New Springville, Eltingville, Woodrow, Richmond Valley, Huguenot, Prince's Bay, and Pleasant Plains.

It is considered a Republican safe seat, as it has been represented by Republican members since its creation.

The incumbent is Joe Borelli, who was elected in a special election held on November 3, 2015.
