Clamps in various genera of Protomicrocotylidae. Black: additional sclerite, characteristic of the Mazocraeidea
The species of this order have various structures in the clamps of their posterior attachment organ, including additional sclerites in the Gastrocotylidae and related families. However, these additional sclerites, and even the clamps themselves, are lacking in certain members of the family Protomicrocotylidae.

gollark: Some GTechâ„¢ servers, for instance, have a few exabytes of RAM.
gollark: I like the textual UI concept of terminals, but not the horrible mess of in-band signalling.
gollark: It *basically works*, if suboptimally, and I don't want to have to configure it.
gollark: I mostly use VSCode (which *is* highly bloatful, yes) or nano if I have to SSH into a thing.
gollark: Minoteaur is designed to and pretty much does complete common operations in below 10ms.
