Dave O'Donnell is Grammy Award winning record producer, engineer and mixer known for his work with James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Bettye LaVette, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, John Mayer, Lyle Lovett, Milton Nascimento, Burt Bacharach, Keb' Mo', Keith Urban, Tina Turner and Ray Charles.[1][2][3][4][5] O'Donnell is currently based in New York.

O'Donnell earned a degree in Sound Recording Technology at SUNY Fredonia. In 1984, he began work at Power Station studios in Manhattan, beginning as a runner and working his way up to engineer. During this period he worked with artists including Tina Turner, Chic, Lyle Lovett, Jimmy Buffett and Deep Purple, who had a big influence on his work. He went on to work as a freelance record producer, engineer and mixer. In 2000, O'Donnell began a long-standing relationship with James Taylor and has since worked with him on five studio albums over the last 20 years.[6][7][8]
