Darwin Atapuma

Jhon Darwin Atapuma Hurtado (born 15 January 1988) is a Colombian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Colombia Tierra de Atletas–GW Bicicletas.[3]

National Road Race Championships (2008)

After two seasons with Colombia,[4] Atapuma left the team at the end of the 2013 season and joined the BMC Racing Team for 2014.[1] In 2015, he finished 16th in the Giro d'Italia and 56th in the Vuelta a España.[5] In the 2016 Vuelta a España, he held the red jersey after a second-place finish in Stage 4.[6] In September 2016 Atapuma announced that he would join UAE Abu Dhabi on a two-year deal from 2017.[7]
