Darwin's Yearbook

Darwin's Yearbook is a six-episode spin-off miniseries of the British-American animated comedy television series The Amazing World of Gumball. The miniseries features Christain J. Simon as Darwin, an orange fish who is tasked with completing Elmore Junior High's yearbook by examining who he thinks should fill up the best spot.[1] The series was created by Ben Bocquelet and was directed by Mic Graves. The series premiered on Cartoon Network on December 14, 2019, in the United States.[2]

Premise

Darwin's Yearbook is a comedy webseries that follows Darwin Watterson, as he tries to complete Elmore Junior High's yearbook by examining who he thinks should be on the front cover. As he goes through his options, his friends go over everything they have done throughout the show, making the miniseries essentially a collection of clip show episodes.[3]

    Production

    In 2019, The Amazing World of Gumball creator Ben Bocquelet announced that a six-episode special was being worked on. Additionally, Bocquelet would go on to say the sixth season of the show would be his last,[8] but would later state that he would be working on the six-episode special.[9]

    Release

    The series premiered on Cartoon Network on December 2, 2019, in the United Kingdom. That same week, the series aired on December 7 in France, and on December 14 in the United States.
