He made his début for Leeds against Castleford Tigers 2007 at stand-off in place of Danny McGuire on international duties.[3]

He retired from professional game in 2016.

Danny is “rumoured” to be making a come back to the game he made his own throughout his playing days. The rumours were confirmed when rugby league pundit Paul 'the wheelbarrow' Wilkes confirmed he would be signing him for his new reign at the Hinpool bear pioneers.

Danny rejoins local club Heworth ARLC for the 2020 season.
