Dakkebali

Dakkebali is a form of snake worship, called as Nagaradhane, held at Padubidri in Udupi district, Karnataka. The festival is held once every two years. It is held in those years when the Paryaya festival at nearby Udupi does not occur.Every year in Thantrady Bairy Bettu Udupi District Dakkebali (Bramha mandala) take place.This Pooja is performed for Naga,Bramha,Raktheshwari,Nandikonna,Haygulli,Kshetrapala,Bagilu Bobbarya,Motukalu Bobbarya and Yakshi. This is pancha dhaiva kshetra, present priest is Sri Nagaraja Bairy.At present every two years Dakkebali will be performed to Naga Bramha by Ramanna Bairy Family and devotees near by place.

Mandala

Thismandala depicts the divine union of male and female snakes, is drawn by Panara commubity in shape of rectangular.

Dakke bali, along with Bhuta Kola is one of the ritual dance forms practiced in Tulunadu. Together with Yakshagana, this region boasts of a variety of folk dance forms.
