Dairena Ní Chinnéide
Dairena Ní Chinnéide (born 1969) is an Irish writer and former broadcast journalist. She has published books of poetry in her native Irish language and in English.
Biography
Ní Chinnéide hails from Dingle, County Kerry.[1] She graduated from Dublin City University in 1989 with a degree n communications studies.[2] After working at Radio Kerry, she joined Century Radio.[2] She was the final voice heard on Century Radio before it closed in November 1991.[1] She moved back to Kerry to work at Raidió na Gaeltachta.[2]
Ní Chinnéide's first book of poetry was published by Cló Iar-Chonnachta in 2006.[2]
Ní Chinnéide was appointed writer-in-residence at Dublin City University for the 2017-2018 year.[3] Her first English language book of poetry was published in 2019.[1]
