History and profile
The party was formed in 2006 through the merger of Communist Party of Denmark (Marxist-Leninist) (DKP/ML) and Communist Unification (KS).[1]
The party publishes Dagbladet Arbejderen (The Daily Worker), a daily newspaper.[2]
Other communist parties in Denmark includes KPiD (Kommunistisk Parti i Danmark) and DKP (Danmarks Kommunistiske Parti).[3][4]
Popular support and electoral results
In local elections the party doubled its proportion of the vote in Copenhagen, from 0.2% in 2009 to 0.4% and 1,171 votes in the 2013 election.[5] In Aarhus, the party ran on a joint list with the Communist Party in Denmark (DKP), which obtained 0.2% and 345 votes in 2013.[6]
