History
The station opened on 14 October 1988, in conjunction with the Alto dos Moinhos and Laranjeiras stations, and it is located on Avenida do Colégio Militar, close to the military school from which it takes its name. Built over it is an important bus terminal.
The architectural design of the station is by António J. Mendes.[1]
Throughout 2019, lifts were expected to be added to this station, making the station accessible for persons with disabilities.[2]
