Occurrence
It occurs in low-sulfur hydrothermal deposits with other selenides and in mercury deposits. It is associated with tiemannite, klockmannite, berzelianite, umangite, gold, stibiopalladinite and uraninite.[2]
It was first described in 1832 and named for the discovery locality of Clausthal-Zellerfeld in the Harz Mountains, Germany.[4]
gollark: (yes I am sure I have offended someone by saying I didn't care about CPU time)
gollark: I'm not concerned about CPU time, that's basically insignificant, but code complexity.
gollark: The deltas thing would introduce quite a lot of complexity in processing, you see.
gollark: But this is also not very space-efficient (although most notes will be small enough that this isn't a massive issue).
gollark: I was thinking about how to do revisions in minoteaurâ„¢, you see, and the easiest method would just be to, on every edit, store a compressed version of the content (this is also what dokuwiki does).
