As of the 2012-2013 school year, the academy offers forensic science, criminal justice, first responder, firefighting, and childhood education courses. The school works with local fire and police departments.
As of the 2018-2019 school year, the academy had an overall school grade of a A+. It is recognized by the "Best High Schools Of America"
