Education
Donnelly was educated at Oberlin College in Ohio, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree, and at Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, where in 1992 she was awarded Master of Science and Doctor of Science[9] degrees in biostatistics.[1]
Research
Donnelly's research investigates statistical and biomathematical methods to analyse epidemiological patterns of infectious diseases such as Influenza A virus subtype H1N1[10] and Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS),[11] Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), the Ebola virus disease,[12] zoonoses and HIV.[13] She has interests in ecology, conservation, and animal welfare[6] having worked on Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE)[14] and Foot-and-mouth disease[15] in cattle, bovine tuberculosis and policies regarding badger culling in the United Kingdom.[16][17]
