Chris Birch

Chris Birch (born c. 1984) formerly of Ystrad Mynach, South Wales is a former rugby player who[1][2] allegedly changed from straight to gay after suffering a stroke whilst rolling down a grass verge in Bargoed, South Wales.

Still regularly suffering with TIAs (minor strokes), Birch has been left a totally different person after his accident as he recalls on www.chrisjbirch.com. The accident was in 2005,[1] when he was 20.[2]

Birch had TV appearances on The Saturday Night Show, Doctors and Filip and Fredrik in 2011, as well as I Woke up Gay and Sunday Night in 2012.

Totally Different Me is a BBC documentary about Birch's life before and after the incident and how he began to cope with his new life.[3] The documentary aired in April 2012.[4] Vice also published a follow-up interview with Birch in 2017.[5][6]
