Chitralada Royal Villa

Chitralada Royal Villa (Thai: พระตำหนักจิตรลดารโหฐาน; RTGS: Chit Lada Raho-than) is a royal villa located within Dusit Palace. This villa was the unofficial permanent-residence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), the longest serving monarch of Thailand and Queen Sirikit. He moved there after the death of his older brother, King Rama VIII in the Grand Palace. The palace grounds, which are surrounded by a moat and guarded by the royal guards, also contain the Chitralada School, initially established for the children of the royal family and palace staffs. Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti was a pupil in the Chitralada School. The school is considered the most exclusive in Thailand.

History

The main building of the palace is a two-storey building, built in the reign of Rama VI. The palace was the residence of Rama VI. Chitralada School, was founded in 1958.

A dairy farm and factories were built as the King Bhumibol Adulyadej is interested in agriculture and agricultural industries. Research centres on agricultural products were also founded to provide training for farmers. "Chitralada" is used as the brandname for many products from the palace.[1]

gollark: > The Internet Computer is a decentralized cloud computing platform that will host secure software and a new breed of open internet services. It uses a strong cryptographic consensus protocol to safely replicate computations over a peer-to-peer network of (potentially untrusted) compute nodes, possibly overlayed with many virtual subnetworks (sometimes called shards). Wasm’s advantageous properties made it an obvious choice for representing programs running on this platform. We also liked the idea of not limiting developers to just one dedicated platform language, but making it potentially open to “all of ’em.”How is *that* meant to work?
gollark: ... "internet computer"? Oh bees.

gollark: Hmm, maybe just hook MDN pages up to a text to speech system and stick some javascripty backgrounds on.
gollark: Provide a link to the RPNCalc RPNSource then?
