Chitin: I

Chitin: I is a 1977 board wargame published by Metagaming Concepts.

Gameplay

Chitin: I is the second MicroGame from Metagaming after Ogre, in which, given a species of intelligent insects inhabiting a world in which food resources are inadequate for all, wars will be fought over what food is available.[1]

Reception

David James Ritchie reviewed Chitin: I in The Space Gamer No. 13, commenting that "For those who like their carnage in cardboard, Chitin: I is definitely an attractive brew."[1] Ritchie also reviewed the game in Ares Magazine #1, rating it a 5 out of 9 and with the comments "Fairly short and simple. Lots of fun. Those with a taste for the bizarre will appreciate their units' ability to eat friendly casualties."[2]

gollark: They what?
gollark: There is no `require`. You'll need the robot component or something. I assume that exists. Or maybe `robot` is just in the gløbal scope?
gollark: You can do that while it's running.
gollark: No, boot the computer as normal, and once it BOOTS UP swap out the EEPROM.
gollark: Put the blank EEPROM in a computer or something (remove the existing one, it can work without it, just not boot), run `flash [code to put on the EEPROM]`.
