Cherry Box, Missouri
Cherry Box is an unincorporated community in Shelby County, Missouri, United States.[1]
History
Cherry Box was founded in the 1850s by a colony of German Mennonites.[2] It is uncertain why the name "Cherry Box" was applied to this community, although a few traditions exist.[3] A post office called Cherry Box was established in 1858, and remained in operation until 1943.[4]
