Cheguevariinae

The Cheguevariinae are a subfamily of fireflies (Lampyridae). It contains the genus Cheguevaria[1], named after the Marxist revolutionary Che Guevera. Cheguevaria are found in the Caribbean, and were previously considered to be incertae sedis within the Lampyridae. Recent molecular phylogenetic results have supported the Cheguevaria to be derived fireflies, with characters sufficient to be their own subfamily.[2]
