Charles H. Pfennig

Charles H. Pfennig (January 22, 1871 August 13, 1955) was an American businessman and politician.

Biography

Born in Neenah, Wisconsin, Pfennig moved with his parents to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1873. Pfennig was in the retail grocery business. He was also in the insurance and real estate businesses. In 1900 and 1928. Pfennig was elected to the Kenosha Common Council and was president of the council. In 1906, he was elected sheriff of Kenosha County, Wisconsin. In 1902 and 1916, Pfennig was elected mayor of Kenosha and was a Republican. Pfennig served in the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1913. His son Frederick S. Pfennig also served in the Wisconsin Assembly. He died in Kenosha, Wisconsin.[1][2]
