Charles Eugene Lancelot Brown

Charles Eugene Lancelot Brown (17 June 1863 – 2 May 1924) founded Brown, Boveri & Cie (BBC) — later ASEA Brown Boveri (ABB) — with Walter Boveri. He was born in Winterthur, northern Switzerland, and was one of six children. His mother was Swiss and his father, the British engineer Charles Brown (1827–1905), was the founder of SLM – Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik (Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works).[1]

Career

He attended the Engineering School of Winterthur. He worked at his father's factory and then became the director.
