Channel 9 TV Tower
The Channel 9 TV Tower also known as the Willoughby Tower or the TCN-9 TXA TV tower, is a free-standing lattice tower with square cross section. TCN, the Sydney flagship television station used by the Nine Network in Sydney, Australia has its broadcast transmitter located on this tower. The tower has a base width of 112 feet and 347 tons of steel were used in its construction.[1]

Built in 1965, the tower stands 233 m (764 ft) tall[2] and is the tallest free-standing lattice towers in Australia. The tower was the tallest structure in Sydney until the Sydney Tower was completed in 1981. It remains a prominent landmark in the Willoughby, New South Wales area.
