Central Panay Mountain Range is the longest and largest mountain range in the island of Panay and Western Visayas in the Philippines at 167 km (104 miles) long and famous for its diverse flora and fauna. Located through the western Panay, North to South from Ibajay, Aklan to the north and Anini-y, Antique to the south. The highest point is Mount Madia-as in Antique standing at 6,946 ft. (2, 117 m) above sea level, located in Culasi Antique near the border of Aklan. Other peaks are Mount Nangtud 6,801 ft. (2,073 m), Mount Baloy 6,424 ft. (1,958 m), Mount Nausang 5,410 ft. (1,640 m), Mount Tigas 4,760 ft. (1,451 m), Mount Llorente 4,409 ft. (1,344 m), Mount Sansanan 4,219 ft. (1,286 m), Mount Napulak 4,095 ft. (1,248 m), Mount Balabag 3,728 ft. (1,136 m), Mount Dumara, Mount Sipanag, Mount Dalangnan, Mount Bucayan, Mount Patag, Mount Igmatongtong, Mount Igcoron. The range is famous for its diverse range of flora and fauna, as well for the Antique Rice Terraces clusters, the largest and oldest in the Visayas.[1]
