Central Napier

Central Napier is the central area and business district of Napier, in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand's eastern North Island.

Education

Nelson Park School is a co-educational Year 1-6 state primary school situated on Kennedy Road/Jull Street in Napier with a roll of 400+ as of August 2020. It carries 18 classrooms, separated into three syndicates. Kea (Years 0-2, Rooms 1-8A excluding rooms 5, and 6), Tui (Years 3-4, Rooms 5-14), and Kiwi (Years 5-6, Rooms 14-16). The school enjoys 3 playground areas, a staffroom, a hall, a disability unit featuring 2 classrooms, and a swimming pool.

Napier Intermediate is a co-educational state intermediate school situated on Jull Street in Napier with a roll of 400+ as of August 2020. It comprises of 14 classrooms separated into four houses/syndicates: Rata, Rimu, Totara and Putriri. All syndicates are years 7-8. NIS enjoys a technology rotation comprising of Digital Technology, Hard Materials, Food/Fabric, Science, Languages Other Than English, Art, Music, Dance and Singing.
