Cathy Breen

Catherine Breen is an American politician from Falmouth, Maine. Breen, a Democrat represents Senate District 25, which includes the towns of Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth, Gray, Long Island, Chebeague Island and a portion of Westbrook.

In the Senate. Breen serves as chair of the Legislature's Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee. She previously served on the Legislature's Environment and Natural Resources Committee.[1]

Breen served for six years on the Falmouth Town Council (2005 to 2011) prior to her election to the Maine Senate. She replaced unenrolled state senator Richard Woodbury, who did not seek re-election.[2]

Breen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and a Masters of Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
