Cansel Gözüaçık

Cansel Gözüaçık (born 15 May 1998) is a Turkish women's football goalkeeper currently playing in the First League for Ataşehir Belediyespor in Istanbul with jersey number 98. She was part of the Turkey national U-19 team.[1]

Playing career

Club

Gözüaçık obtained her license from the Istanbul-based club Dudullu on 23 May 2013. She started her football career in the girls' U-17 team of Dudullu in the second half of the 2014–15 season of Women's Third League.[2] The next season, she moved to 1453 Maltepe Gençlik Spor in the same league.[1] In the 2016–17 season, she went to Fatih Vatan Spor. [3] However, she left the team in the Women's Second League after one match only, and transferred to Kireçburnu Spor to play in the Women's First League.[4] In the |2017–18 season, she joined Ataşehir Belediyespor, where she enjoyed her team's league champion title.[1]

She was part of her team at the 2018–19 UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying round as a substitute on the bench.[5][6][7] In the 2018–19 league season, she was appointed goalkeeper.

International

Gözüaçık was admitted to the Turkey women's national under-19 football team for the goalkeeper position,[8] and played in three matches of the 2016 UEFA Women's Under-19 Development Tournament held in Romania.[1][4] The women's U-19 team became champion of the tournament.[9]
