A heavily redesigned variant was shown at the 2018 Zhuhai Airshow.[4][5]
Design
Development of the CS/LR17/LR18 system first started back in 2014, basing their design on the FN SCAR series.[2] An unnamed UBGL is in development to complement it.[2]
The system consists of three calibers: 5.56×45mm, 7.62×39mm and 7.62×51mm.[6]
