Owned by Đoàn Nguyên Đức, a prominent Vietnamese businessman, They play in the top division in Vietnamese soccer, V.League 1. Their home stadium is Pleiku Stadium.

On 11 April 2019, HAGL partnered up with Feyenoord Rotterdam to a talent and coaching development partnership. The aim of this was for Feyenoord to share its knowhow and methodology with HAGL. With this partnership, Vietnamese teams, players and coaches will be able to travel to the Netherlands to gain experience.[1]
