C. V. Mathew

C. V. Mathew was the Presiding Bishop of the St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India.[1][2]

Mathew's area of specialization is in Religions, Hindu Fundamentalism, and a Christian response. Mathew was consecrated as the presiding bishop on 28 November 2008[3] along with rt rev Dr thomas Abraham bishop

Career

  • Chairman of the Evangelical Fellowship of India - the grouping of all evangelical churches, organizations and ministries in the country.

  • Deputy Chairman of the Lausanne Committee of world Evangelization
  • Principal of Jubilee Memorial Bible College, Chennai.
  • Academic Dean, Union Biblical Seminary - India's largest evangelical seminary.

Moreover, he traveled throughout India and was a known figure in all the missionary circles as a great evangelist. His contribution in the educational field is noteworthy. He was also serving as the Vicar of the different parishes of the St Thomas Evangelical church of India.
