Burkmere, South Dakota
Burkmere is an unincorporated community in Faulk County, in the U.S. state of South Dakota.[1]
History
Burkmere was laid out in 1886[2] or 1887.[3] The community was named for John M. Burke, a railroad official.[2] A post office operated under the name Burkmere from 1889 until 1951.[4]

gollark: I mean, "nothing bad about Google", if you ignore their domination of a whole lot of stuff, the fact that they do seem to try to move stuff over to their own proprietary standards in some cases, and the massive data gathering.
