Description

'Avent' has a smaller stature than the species, growing to a height of 1.8 m in US trials. The purple-violet inflorescences are also more compact than those of the species; narrow and pendant they resemble those of a miniature Wisteria. However, all of the cultivars remain aggressive colonizers, capable of producing innumerable root suckers. [1]

Cultivation

Examples were sent to the Longstock Park Nursery in the UK by the Bernheim Arboretum for assessment, but there are no plans to release them to commerce. B. lindleyana and its cultivars are not fully hardy; USDA zones 79.[1]

gollark: > USD $100including what?
gollark: See, my regular displayed-on-a-normal-rectangle games *don't* need 1.7 million rams.
gollark: Also quite easily!
