Career
Marklund played college baseball at the Bryan College. After going undrafted in the MLB Draft, he signed with the Auckland Tuatara of the Australian Baseball League. In 14 games pitched, he went 1–0 with a 2.29 earned run average (ERA) and 15 strikeouts.[1]
In January 2019, Marklund signed a minor league deal with the Kansas City Royals after he impressed them in a tryout.[2][3] He also had a tryout with the Arizona Diamondbacks.[4]
Marklund made his debut in the Royals organization with the Lexington Legends. After the season, he played for the Canada national baseball team in the 2019 WBSC Premier12.[5]
gollark: If it really was mostly user-defined, then you'd expect a bunch of oscillation for a while as it alternates between "lots in cave, lots being picked up" and "few in cave, few being picked up" before reaching a mostly-stable state until trends disrupt it.

gollark: Okay then, but it does seem a bit weird based on observations of stuff.
gollark: So, golds are set higher but other stuff is set the same but affected by ratios? I kind of doubt that.
