Branden Becker

Branden Becker (born September 13, 1996) is an American former professional baseball player and current coach in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He was drafted by the Orioles in the 17th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.

Early life

Branden attended Cajon High School in San Bernardino, California. He played shortstop and was also a pitcher as a member of the varsity baseball team for all four of his years at Cajon. In Branden's last seasons, his record was 23-4 overall. Becker signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Oregon.[1] The Orioles drafted Becker with the 523rd overall pick of the 2015 MLB Draft. He signed with the Orioles on June 11.[1] He was assigned to the GCL Orioles, where he would spend the 2015 season. He would be promoted to the Frederick Keys in 2017 and also played for the Aberdeen IronBirds that year. He played with the Delmarva Shorebirds in 2018 and began 2019 with Aberdeen before announcing his retirement on May 17, 2019 at the age of 22.

Coaching Career

In 2020, Becker is the coach for the Class-A Aberdeen IronBirds.
