Book of Love 2001 Club Tour

The Book of Love 2001 Club Tour was a 2001 U.S. concert tour by American electronic group Book of Love, in support of the act's newly released best of compilation, I Touch Roses: The Best of Book of Love, which was released in March 2001. In April, three weeks after the release of their 'best of' record, the band embarked on a short six date promotional tour in which they played four to five songs to a backing track.[1]

On May 12, the band played at the GLAAD Media Awards in Washington, D.C. Throughout June 2001, the band played another string of live dates, this time with a full set and equipment.[2]

The first show of the official tour took place on June 1, 2001, at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.[2] The first leg of the tour visited other major cities of Chicago, El Centro, Denver, Dallas, and ending in Houston, TX.[2] The band took a break before playing the drag festival Wigstock on September 2, 2001, and then took time out of their tour schedule after band member Lauren Roselli Johnson gave birth to a child.[3] The Wigstock show was the only one that featured an appearance by band member Jade Lee.[3] The final leg of the tour began on October 11, 2001, in El Paso TX., and then various dates in Texas (including the Pleasure Island Music Festival w/The Cult), New York, San Francisco, L.A, and back to Houston, TX on November 21, 2001, which effectively ended the support and promotion of their 'best of' album, I Touch Roses: The Best of Book of Love.[3]

The setlist consisted of various tracks from their four studio albums.

gollark: Well, look, problem is that just copypasting HTML everywhere is not a great strategy.
gollark: I think that Google *using microphones in your devices to spy on you without proper consent or an easy way to disable it* is pretty bad, *especially* since you have no way to verify what it's used for or restrict that.
gollark: They have hardware video decoders so I'm not sure what the problem is.
