The school is named after Bill Hogarth, a former teacher and director of the York Region District School Board.[2]

Construction of the school was delayed by rain from April to July 2017, necessitating the school's opening being delayed from September to November 2017.[3] During those months, students attended the nearby Bur Oak Secondary School.[3]

Notes

gollark: You could have some thing where you prefix an instruction with `vec[some parameters]` and it converts it to multiple instructions working on each register or something.
gollark: Couldn't it mostly just be a macro, if you have those?
gollark: Clearly you should just implement vectorization so you can just run some magic "vectorize" thing on ANY instruction and the assembler works it out.
gollark: Hmm, insect levels seem to have been higher than usual lately, and it troubles me.
gollark: In normal programming languages, we solve this with "loop" technology, or sometimes higher-order functions (which do loops internally).
