Bill Dole

William Edward Dole Sr. (July 5, 1909 – February 7, 1966) was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at East Carolina University from 1949 to 1951 and Davidson College from 1952 to 1964, compiling a career college football coaching record of 58–80–5.[1] Dole died in his car at the age of 56, near his apartment in North Carolina, due to a heart attack on February 7, 1966.[2]
