Bilge Pump's style is post-punk with avant garde and free-jazz influences. Early on, the NME described Bilge Pump's sound as "unlistenable guff".[1] They have since had various releases on Gringo Records, Troubleman Unlimited and Unlabel, and members have been involved with artists such as Enablers, Yann Tiersen, Polaris, Felix, Chris Corsano, HiM.[2][3]

Bilge Pump have recorded several John Peel Sessions,[4] and received enough votes to be 95th on the list for ATP vs The Fans 2009.[5] Since their inception, they have played with (among many others) Lightning Bolt, The Mars Volta, Hella, Foals and Les Savy Fav.[6] O'Sullivan makes custom valve amplifiers and is registered disabled.

Discography

gollark: Oh wait, "symmetrically".
gollark: Too bad.
gollark: Cool, do that.
gollark: This is an easy problem if you simply communicate your guess to LyricLy and they tell you if it's right. Of course, they could be lying, and you may not want to reveal your guess publicly.
gollark: I was also thinking that it would be useful if we could give someone all the points ever after they somehow commit to revealing the information Host gives them to everyone who gave them all the points ever, but I don't think that's possible.
