Bhaurao Deoras

Murlidhar Dattatray Deoras (1917-1992), popularly knows as Bhaurao Deoras, was an RSS pracharak who concentrated on North India region; he was younger brother of the third RSS chief Balasaheb Deoras.

Bhaurao Deoras was born in Nagpur on 19 November 1917. He joined RSS at an early age with his more famous elder brother, and both brothers became its full time pracharak (volunteer). He was placed in Uttar Pradesh and made North India his chief area of operation.[1] He is credited for establishing dialogue with elements in Congress Party which were sympathetic to the Hindu cause as espoused by RSS.[2] He had established contacts with Jews in India and was in favour of India establishing full diplomatic relations with Israel.[3] He was one of the leading ideologues behind Ram Janmabhoomi movement. [4]

Bhaurao Deoras died in Delhi on 13 May 1992 at the age of 74.
