Biography

Having a musical family, Carter was always involved with bands and band environments from a young age. He started playing the drums at a young age and played with numerous local bands over many years.

Evile

With Carter and Matt Drake being high school friends, they both decided to form a covers band to jam their favourite metal songs in 2000. After acquiring Mike Alexander on the bass, and Matt's brother Ol Drake on lead guitar, they played shows together following the line-up assemblage.

In 2004, they formed Evile. They recorded an EP All Hallows Eve in 2004, and a demo Hell Demo in 2006. Soon after, the band signed to Earache Records, and released their Flemming Rasmussen produced debut, Enter the Grave worldwide. As of Matt Drake's departure from Evile in 2020, Carter is the only permanent member left in the band.

Carter plays and endorses Mapex drums, Paiste cymbals, Vic Firth drumsticks and Protection Racket cases.[1]

Influences

Carter claims his favourite drummers to be Lars Ulrich, Ray Hartmann, Thomas Lang and Mike Mangini.
