Belvoir Park Forest
Belvoir Forest Park is a large forest in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Owned and managed by Forest Service, it was opened in 1961. It is one of the few working forests in the world within a city boundary, and is popular with walkers and runners.
The wildlife in the park includes:-
- Fungi: Large Bracket Fungi.
- Flowering plants: Toothwort Lathraea squamaria L.; Giant Hog-weed Heracleum mantegazzianum; Somm. & Levier
- Birds: Long-eared Owls, Kingfishers, Long-tailed tits.
