Bellevue, New Zealand

Bellevue is a suburb of Tauranga, in the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island.

Bellevue has an athletics club which takes part in national championships.[1]

A woman fired a gun in the suburb in March 2019, sparking a lockdown of local schools.[2]

Two girls were held hostage by their father in their Bellevue home in November 2019, before Police shot the father.[3]

Bellevue School is a co-educational state primary school,[4][5] with a roll of 380 as of March 2020.[6]

Otumoetai Intermediate is a co-educational state intermediate school,[7][8] with a roll of 940.[9]

Otumoetai College is a co-educational state secondary school established in 1965,[10][11] with a roll of over 2,200.[12]
